Google search results snippet points to ‘not open’ tab
-
Hi
We’re doing well for frequently having snippets featured for our content in Google search results. You know the type where a snippet/paragraph of content answering the users questions is presented at the top of the search results. However, often, when you follow the snippet link to the website to read more, the actual text that Google highlighted in the snippet result is within a tab that isn’t open. Google takes the visitor to the point in the page where it thinks the content is, but that particular paragraph/content is not visible because a different tab is ‘open’ in front of it.
Is there a solution to this as it causes a bit of a jenk in the visitor experience?
Thanks for looking
