google setup and connect

I’m having a hard time getting connected to Google Calendar because the API setup looks different in the instructions than it does at Google.
Or maybe I just don’t understand. That’s always possible.
I can get information from Google and enter it in the Settings/Google Calendar area. But when I click “connect me” I get a 401:Invalid Client error.
Advice and suggestions welcome.
