Google+ sharing as personal account not business page

    Hi

    When creating a post/page and wanting to share to my Google+ business page I am getting ‘Share as My Name’, rather than sharing as the business page. This is the business page: https://plus.google.com/+MtfuUk

    This is the URL I have in the plug-in admin for ‘Google+ Business Page URL’

    Also, on a side note there is no Facebook button showing in the sharing buttons, both in the admin and the site pages. I have the correct facebook page and ID… any ideas what could be amiss?

    Just realised this is the same question I asked 3 months ago. I didn’t really understand the reply/response from last time.

    I have entered the details into NGFB, yet the plug-in doesn’t seem to work as it should. Share buttons are missing from the product and post pages and from within the admin page there is no share button to publish to FB and the Google+ options shares to my personal account and not my business page.

    Make sure you’re logged into your Google+ business account. Unlike Facebook, Google+ does not provide a way to switch accounts or post to other pages in their share dialog. See here for additional features of the Google+ share button: https://developers.google.com/+/web/share/

    Hare you read the forum sticky? You forgot to include a URL to an example post / page, and describe the issue on that specific post / page. Also, for debugging purposes, it would help if you enabled the Debug Messages option on the NGFB Advanced settings page. ??

    Thanks… I’ve turned the debug messages option on.

    There is no FB or Pinterest share button on the page, which I’m sure I have enabled correctly in the settings.

    I’ve logged into my Google+ page and am managing the account as the business name, rather than as my personal account. yet if I click on the Google+ share buttons, either in the admin for a post/page or from the share button on the actual page I get the message ‘Share as ‘MyName”

    I think you may have posted your question in the wrong forum — NGFB does not appear to be active on https://www.mtfu.co.uk/product/gearhead-mtb-t-shirt/.

    Ah, sorry, that’s totally my fault. I was giving Jetpack a whirl in the meantime which seems to be able to post automatically to FB G+ and Twitter, but doesn’t have the same functionality as NGFB.

    Is there a benefit of using NGFB over jetpack, besides than the facility to post to more networks? I’d be willing to try to get it to work if there is a cler advantage…
