    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

When I click that link, I only get a “File not found” error. That could indicate that the file is not available publicly, but that the user has to be logged-in to download it.
Your site/server obviously is not logged-in to Google, so that’s likely what’s causing this.
You will have to configure the Google Docs table so that it can be downloaded publicly, i.e. without having to be logged-in.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Okay — the correct link is —

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pswNGQO3IGSYjwndvMTGKGmEd1hRafzKOnwU0k1A1-U/export?format=csv&id=1pswNGQO3IGSYjwndvMTGKGmEd1hRafzKOnwU0k1A1-U

I think that when I paste it in for a manual import, the entry form in tablepress is automagically selecting “html” as the format because the import line starts with “html.” This doesn’t show up on the form, though, which is confusing. If I paste the url in, then manually select “csv” (which is already selected), the import works.

Just looks like some automatic format choosing in the backend is being a little too aggressive or something.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

ah, yes, you will need to manually select “CSV” from that drop-down, after pasting in the URL. TablePress only automatically select “CSV”, if the URL ends with “.csv”. Otherwise it falls back to “HTML”.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
