Today’s scan on both my installations is showing a lot of URLs for domains that are supposedly “blacklisted” by Wordfence and are showing up as malware. These are sites like Google, Legacy.com, and a link to an emoticon.

    Hi everyone,

Wordfence has just recently expanded its blacklist to over 10x its size. This has caused a lot of false positives, so this change has been reverted.

You can run the scan again and these warnings should no longer appear.

We’re working with QA to make sure this situation does not happen in the future.

Today we expanded our domain blacklist by a considerable amount. That unfortunately led to false positives due to a bug. We have rolled back the change and a rescan will clear any false positives that would have come about from this expansion. We will be doing our best to make sure this doesn’t happen again in the future.

Same for me – so many sites just went crazy with wordfence security saying bad url

Is wordfence broken ? or just the internet ?

Two plugins on multiple sites contain these links:

    https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ping

    https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js

But only one site sent a scan error.
