• I noticed from my Google analytics data that people were being diverted to my ‘404 page not found’ page. After a bit of research this is what I found.

It seems that the URLs shown by google are not the same as the ones on my website. For example, if you search for ‘mizuno run in barra da tijuca’ my site appears as the second results with the url:

    riouncovered.com/visiting-rio-de-janeiro/things-to-do/runs-in-rio-de-janeiro/

    However, the actual URL is:

    riouncovered.com/home-page/visiting-rio-de-janeiro/things-to-do/runs-in-rio-de-janeiro/

This problem seems to affect the area ‘Things to do in Rio de Janeiro’ but not ‘Food and Drink’. If you search for ‘gluten-free food in rio de janeiro’ my site’s page is the sixth result, has the right URL structure and links through to my page fine.

I have emptied my cache on my site (I use W3TC) and I’m using google chrome.
