    Hello,

I’ve been using Complianz for a while, having installed Google Site kit with Google Analytics on the side. However, I realized that the banner wasn’t working properly, and it doesn’t seem to be linked to Google Analytics… I have the impression that there is no GA tag.

I thought that with Google Site kit, there was no need to do too much technical manipulation?

    Could you please help me?

    Thank you !

    Hello,

    thanks for your message.

In general we suggest to embed Google Analytics 4 directly with our plugin or with GTM passing always from our plugin though.

If you want to use Google SiteKit you can check this guide in order to decide how you want to manage the embedding of Analytics and the related prior blocking.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply ??

In general we suggest to embed Google Analytics 4 directly with our plugin or with GTM passing always from our plugin though. How to do it ?

If you want to use Google SiteKit you can check?this guide?in order to decide how you want to manage the embedding of Analytics and the related prior blocking. I’ve already done what I needed to do, via this guide, but it doesn’t work.. But I think I know what’s wrong, in Wizard > Statistics, it says: “Site analysis has detected Tag Manager on your site, which means the answer to this question should be Tag Manager.”
I hadn’t seen this before… So I have to go through Tag Manager and not Google Analytics, right?

    Thank you,

If you want to embed Analytics with Tag Manager you can follow this guide, this way you’ll be able to disable Google SiteKit because you’ll do everything with our plugin+Google Tag Manager

But I’d like to keep Site Kit, as I use it for other things too..

In this case you should remove the Google Analytics tag from GTM and directly remove GTM from your website, unfortunately we cannot exclude that more than one GA4/GTM integration will create a tracking/prior blocking conflict

Oh I understand.. I think it will be a problem if we completely remove GTM from the site. We’re bound to need it for other things, so we can’t afford to take it down completely.

I came across this guide: https://complianz.io/definitive-guide-to-tag-manager-and-complianz/
Will it work? Or does it have nothing to do with my problem?

Since you’re using both GTM and Google SiteKit we don’t suggest to use that guide, what you can do is to write us a ticket from our official support center in order to see if we’ll be able to help you with the current configuration directly checking our plugin

Isn’t the official support center reserved for premium customers only?

You can put a generic number/letter and open the ticket anyway since your case is particular.
