In the last few days, Google Site Kit has stopped working on my site and displays the following error:-

    “Error connecting Site Kit”

“Looks like your site is not allowed access to Google account data and can’t display stats in the dashboard.?“

When I click on the ‘Redo the plugin setup’ button, I see a:-

    Error: Bad Request

    invalid parameter: ‘site_id’

I prefer to avoid disabling all the plugins on my site if there is an easier solution.

    Any ideas?

I tried reinstalling the Google Site Kit plugin, but no change. Same error.

    I want to

Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit button

Clicking this has fixed the issue.

Hopefully this will be of help to anyone else who may be facing the same problem.

Thanks for reaching out. Nice troubleshooting also, for these “Error: Bad Request invalid parameter: ‘site_id’” errors, a reset can be done in order to proceed. Note that by resetting, users do need to connect all previously connected modules once more.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.
