I get a Error connecting Site Kit

Unknown Error (code: invalid ‘client_id’ or ‘client_secret’)

even when I use the Troubleshotting mode where all other plugins are disabled and the only theme available and active is WordPress Twenty

When I click on the Redo Plugin setup button, it shows a blank page with only the words “site not found”., and it does the same for everyone of the buttons of the page that I click to reconnect Google Analytics (which by the way works with Monster Insights and Rank Math but I really need Site Kit not Monster Insights on this, also the site exists and is all set up in Google Analytics), Google Search Console (where it also exists) and Google Ads (where it is also set up)

I have the same setup on 5 other sites and it works without an issue so I am a little lost as to why it makes any exception here. Your help would be most welcome.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I have the same problem with this plugin. And even worse, WP REST API does not work when Site Kit is active.

When I deactivate Site Kit, other plugins that depend on WP REST API do work again.

Thanks for reaching out?@tikideido. As you already tried the “Redo plugin setup” button, with a different error occuring, please perform a plugin reset and share whether you’re then able to proceed with setup?(Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit).

Note that by resetting, you will need to connect all previously connected modules once more.

If the same, or another errors occurs after resetting please let me know and we can investigate this further. Please include your Site Health information should this happen.

Note also that we also have a?guide on the plugin website?in relation to this error which contains more details of this, such as situations where this may occur.

@digihulpdienst Sorry to hear that. If you’d like to open an individual support topic we can communicate with you from there. Please include any details relevant to what you’re experiencing. This may include sharing your Site Health information and a mention of whether you see any REST related errors when checking your Site ?Site Health Status (Tools > Site Health > Status), which differs from your Site Health information requested above. I saw this as Site Kit shouldn’t impact your WordPress REST API, however, you may be experiencing a multi party plugin conflict. Thank you!

Hi James, resetting the tool did the trick. I didn’t even know there was a Site Kit tool reset so that is great for future issues. Thank you twice.
