Site Kit delivers no answers but: “Datafejl i Analytics
The response is not a valid JSON response”

The registration seems to be fine in both Analytics and Search Console. I may need both to be checked, though.

Thanks for getting in touch. As this error message is a general WordPress error we’ll need more information in order to determine the cause. Please share the following and I can advise on this further:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Do you see any browser console errors when checking your Site Kit dashboards from a Chrome browser incognito window? If so please share the messages that appear.
    3. Does this dashboard error appear consistently, and do you only encounter these when visiting your Site Kit dashboards?

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Once we have your Site Health information I can inspect your setup to try and determine any possible cause.

I shared the Site Health Info via the form.
I get the same browser errors from visiting by a Chrome Browser in incognito mode, and the message is the same: Data error in Analytics
The response is not a valid JSON response.
The error has been consistent on this website since registrering it with my Analytics account and Search Console.
Please note, that the website resides in a subdirectory, hence the URL: bach.activebirth.dk OR activebirth.dk/bach

Thanks for the additional information, very useful indeed. I noticed you’re using the Thrive theme builder, which has the ability to overwrite your sites homepage, while also impacting the Site Kit placed Analytics snippet. Can you follow the steps below and share whether the same error occurs?

    1. Login to your site from a Chrome browser incognito window
    2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    5. Attempt to view your Analytics dashboard once more

You can exit troubleshooting mode afterwards.

If the same occurs we’ll perform some additional troubleshooting steps based on your site setup with a subdomain.

Thank you very much for the effort. I tried the health troubleshooting and ended up with a Site Kit dashboard with the same message both for Console and Analytics.
I can add that I am using ThriveThemes themes and plugins together with Site Kit in almost all websites I am responsible for, and I have only seen the JSON fault in this one.
This notion made me look if I use any other plugin in the website with the fault, but that’s a negative – I don’t.
The usual plugins I have is
    – Akismet
    – Wordfence
    – W3 cache or WP Fastest Cache
    – Optimole image enhancement
    – Rank Math SEO
    – Really Simple SSL

Appreciate you performing the checks above, and sharing the common plugins on your sites. Do you see any warnings or errors when checking your Site Health status (which differs to the Site Health information that you’ve already shared).

Providing there are are no errors or warnings please try to disconnect the Analytics module before connecting once more (Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Edit > Disconnect Analytics from Site Kit).
