Google Site Map Question

  • Plugin: Google Sitemap 2.7 by Arne Brachhold, on WordPress 2.01

    I have my worpress install in domain.com/news/ and this also includes worpress ‘pages’ such as domain.com/events/ and domain.com/history. Although I have wp in /news/ my entry oage is domain.com.

    My question is – Should Google Site maps crawl domain.com or domain.com/news/ ?

  • Hi,

    place your sitemap file at domain.com/sitemap.xml. If you place it in the news directory, you can’t include URLs like domain.com/events/ because sitemaps can contain URLs in the same directory or deeper only.
