Why do you think this is a WP issue? Talk to G. and your host.

if i send an HEAD request with a non-existent page server return the HTTP Status Code 200 OK ??

Where are you putting the meta tag? In your header.php file? In the <head> section?

FYI, the file method didn’t work for me either.

You really need to talk to google about this….

i don’t know why the meta tag verification didn’t work, but in other wordpress site it works….i’ve solved using the html verification but before i must delete the htaccess file.

the htaccess ****s the head request, in the other blog without htaccess i don’t have any problem

The language used in the abovr post needs to be addressed.Uncalled for, not required and unnecessary. You must have self respect to respect others…enough said –

i think this is a big problem because google when ask for and old page cached receive 200 ok and not a 404 error

benmik i don’t speak very well, sorry if my english is basic but i have used “****s” because is the most appropriate word for understanding the problem

Marco, you need to talk to your host and google about this situation. Please do not continue to post once every few minutes – apparently no one currently online and viewing posts herein has any idea about your problem.

Your best bet is to email as above: google and your host. Email addys for google are available within your account section.
