    Greetings,

I’m setting up SEOPress, but am confused about the new Search Console interface for 2019. When setting up Search Console, I was instructed to use DNS verification with a TXT record added to root domain for Google verification. This is the new method.

I performed this task and site is verified, but in SEOPress settings under Advanced > Google site verification, the box asks for “Enter Google meta value site verification”.

I realize this means adding HTML tag as alternate method of verification, but the new Search Console interface does not allow adding alternative methods once verified via DNS.

Can you advise, do you I simply not enter anything into this field in SEOPress and delete the “Add your site to Search Console!” message in SEOPress Notification Center?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

they are several methods to add your site to Google Search Console.

If you have validated your site via the DNS method, it’s fine, you do not need to fill in anything in SEOPress.

Since this validation can not be verified on our side, you can delete this notification via the trash icon on the right.
