    Hello everyone,

I have changed the hosting package for my website “https://bayernaktuell.de”. Same provider, however the site had to be backed up and restored from backup to the new package again.

I have often carried out manual migration of a website and it has often been carried out successfully. Even now everything seems to be ok, the site is working… Except for the Google SiteKit plugin.

It only has the “Dashboard” button in the menu, the “Settings” is no longer visible.
Nothing is loaded when you click on the “Dashboard” button, the page remains empty.
I deactivated and deleted the plugin several times, unfortunately the same problem occurs after installation.
I did the complete migration of the site again today… everything works except for this plugin.

    Does somebody has any idea?

Would error messages help? I ran the debug.log file, but I don’t see anything suspicious here.
If I call the debug console of the browser in the WordPress Admin Dashboard –> Site Kit –> Dashboard (where the empty page is), then the following errors can be seen:
googlesitekit-vendor-225ee391fdfee27eef8f.js:7 Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token (at googlesitekit-vendor-225ee391fdfee27eef8f.js:7:46886)
googlesitekit-datastore-user-843ffd7bab7ad951654d.js:14 Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token (at googlesitekit-datastore-user-843ffd7bab7ad951654d.js:14:15526)

The full path to the js file is:
    https://bayernaktuell.de/wp-content/plugins/google-site-kit/dist/assets/js/googlesitekit-vendor-225ee391fdfee27eef8f.js

Does anyone have an idea how I can get the Google Site Kit to work again?

    Thanks very much
    Johann Lang

Thanks for reaching out @johlang. So we can determine more on this and ensure you can use Site Kit as expected, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.??
    2. Is Site Kit still active on your other host account, even is the domain name points to your site hosting provider? If so, please perform a reset on your original hosting account (Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit). After doing so please revisit your Site Kit dashboard from a Chrome browser incognito window on your new hosting account and check for the same error. Note: Don’t reset Site Kit on your new hosting account just yet, as we may need to perform some checks first.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
