google sitemap error

Hi inserting the link sitemap in instrumentation for the webmaster of google, google provides the following error:

We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Check that the Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the specified location, then submit it again.

how do I fix?
