• I’m getting this error from Google Search Console stating ‘Couldn’t determine the rating scale’?

I can’t find this field in my Rich Snippet area?

Could somebody point me in the correct direction?

    Thanks

  • Hello @cecil108

As we tested your page URL in the Google structure testing tool, it seems like some other plugin or theme is also adding schema to your site.

Please refer to the screenshot – https://share.bsf.io/YEuZmgZr

Please deactivate the All In One Schema Rich Snippets plugin temporarily and test schema implementation for debugging purposes. You would notice that web page schema still exists on your page and which is showing an error.

Hope that helps debug this issue. ??

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback.

The error on Google Search Console is looking for ‘rating scale’ which isn’t one of the fields in the Plugin.

The screenshot is the product that relates to the error, I do not understand how deactivating the plugin will help. It’s not going to add that field into the snippet options?

I do not understand what ‘test schema implementation for debugging purposes’ means?

    Regards, Paul

    Hello @cecil108

Basically, deactivating our plugin will help confirm and troubleshoot what exactly is causing the issue.

And to check on the Google Search console if the error is caused by which plugin or the theme.

    Hi,

I deactivated the Plugin, revalidated it in the Google Search console, it accepted it for processing.

I expect it will re-appear now that I have reactivated the Plugin as the rating scale is still not a field?

    Am I missing something?

    Hello @cecil108

I visited your site, and I can see the rich snippet box is missing from the page.

Furthermore, if you add schema using the All In One Schema Rich Snippets plugin. Then it is strongly recommended by Google that MicroData should be clearly visible to the post, page, etc.

And if you added a rating to the product page, the error will be resolved.

    Here’s a screencast I have recorded, please have a look – https://share.bsf.io/jkuPyODP

    Hope that helps. ??
