    Hello,

With the most recent update we’ve been finding when logged in that Tag Assistant is now registering the script and flagging it for errors. This troubled out marketing team until I put their fears to rest but wanted to flag as users will probably notice this and feel there’s some issue with the implementation.

It appears the implementation now outputs the GA code in a conditional which the Tag Assistant picks up and then as it can’t connect with it properly flags it as errors. I believe previously when logged in the GA code is simply suppressed fully so the UA string isn’t present on the front-end. That changed recently and seems to give a false issue in Tag Assistant.

    All the best

  • Hey @garrett-eclipse,

    Thanks for this.

This error will occur when logged in as a WordPress admin/editor because we don’t track those user roles.

Tag assistant will also an incorrect error report under certain other circumstances with certain setups such as if a user is using the WP Rocket Analytics feature to host analytics.js locally.

If any issues persist, please contact us at https://www.monsterinsights.com/lite-support/ and we can investigate.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the response Jay. Makes sense, not sure if the UA code can be fully obfuscated when the user is logged in in order to avoid it being picked up invalidly by Tag Assistant.
