• Hi – we use Google Tag Manager to add event tracking to some links on the site. I installed the DoNotTrack plugin, and it seems to render any tracked link un-clickable (I click the link and nothing happens). I whitelisted googletagmanager.com and tried every combination of settings. Any ideas on whether this is something I can fix? Thanks!

if you’re running in whitelist-mode, you’ll probably have to exclude other domains as well, as googletagmanager loads stuff from other domains as well. blacklist would be the easier solution here, else you’ll have to study what domains are called upon and indeed add those as well to make the whitelist-approach work.

    hope this helps,

Hi Frank – thank you so much for your response. After some more troubleshooting, I discovered that the problem is a conflict with another plugin (Download Manager). I have not figured out a workaround yet, but I’m going to keep looking.

ah, so not related to wp dnt?

It is related, in that there is some conflict between DNT and Download Manager. When both plugins are activated the link problem occurs. But only the links with Google Tag Manager tracking are affected. Very strange!

hmmm … that can be hard to figure out. have a look at your browser’s (error) console, javascript errors there might help pinpointing the problem.
