Google Tag Manager Double Tracking

Currently, you can choose to keep your current implementation of Tag Manager (and not connect Tag Manager via Site Kit) or use Site Kit’s connection.

Did you already have Tag Manager’s code implemented on the site before Site Kit?

I am a little confused here… we have Site Kit installed and had it inject the GA snippet. We also have GTM connected to Site Kit and inside GTM we have a tag for GA. Is that going to be an issue?

It turned out to be an issue, @samdive – If you want to use GTM to deploy GA code, disable GA snippet insertion in SiteKit. Otherwise you end up sending stats to GA twice.

@cryptochrome Thanks for the update. Having the Google Analytics tag placed via Tag Manager can impact reporting if you already have an Analytics container configured and setup.
