    Thanks for following up here; the previous thread was closed because we didn’t hear from you again.

    I see what you mean about the CSS errors! Do you have another plugin on that site for managing XML sitemaps apart from the Yoast SEO sitemap feature?

    I assume the following lines are what you meant by The URL for the css in the first few lines is not correct:

    It’s present for child sitemaps with images; you’ll see it’s not in the sitemap index source. They are for sitemap validation, and you can learn more here

    Reviewing your screenshots, Google Search Console reports that Line 1 is showing as NULL. This could be due to a blank space or something getting loaded as Line 1 when Google tries to read the sitemap. Since the sitemap was last read 4th December, can you share a recent screenshot to show the current status of both child sitemaps reported as having the problem?
