Hey guys…Just wondering if/when Analyticator might have a solution for Google’s new Universal Analytics roll-out.

Based on the need to maintain the current analytics profile connection (and historic data), would it be best (or viable) to utilize a separate plugin like GA Universal and just let both run in parallel?

Is Google Tag Manager something that might provide a solution?

I’d love to hear what you all are planning surrounding this. Thanks in advance…

  • We would like to see support for Google Universal Analytics also.

It would be great to have a quick update that at least utilizes the new Javascript code.

    Thanks!

I agree as well – I can’t use your plugin out of the box when creating new properties with Universal Analytics.

In my opinion you should let users choose between the two options(although if you can check which code the user should need depending on the selected profile, that’d be great) with the old one(_gaq) selected by default. That should be the easiest transition between both options, while adding support for the new code.

Wondering about any updates on this?

Google is moving everyone over to Universal Analytics soon and this plugin won’t work once your account is migrated… any updates on when an update to include UA support will be available?

i need to solve this very soon, too

They just updated it yesterday with this

    Hi,

Yes this is now available. Make sure you enable it in your google analytics account first before switching to Universal.

I enabled universal analtyics in my GA account, de-authorised and reset GA in the plug-in, and now 48 hours later am still not receiving data.

Does UA work with this plugin?

    Hi,

Please double check you don’t have 2 analytics codes on your site, people who have flagged this problem before have all had other plugins inserting the analytics codes onto their pages as well as our code.

Have you logged into to Google analytics and checked the real time stats?

If its still a problem let us know.

    Thanks
