    Hello,

Yoast is a wonderful plugin and is very useful.

I have recently had the following error is my Google Search Console.
    Breadcrumbs > data-vocabulary.org schema deprecated
Do you have any suggestions or ideas how I may fix this?

    Thanks, Tracy

    Hello Tracy,

    Thanks for the kind words.

Google Webmaster Central Blog published a post wherein they discuss that data-vocabulary.org markup will no longer be eligible for Google rich result features on April 6, 2020. You can read more about it here — https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2020/01/data-vocabulary.html?m=1

Yoast SEO uses schema.org for its structured data markup and not data-vocabulary.org. So you might want to check if another plugin, theme, or custom code is outputting the data-vocabulary.org schema and convert it accordingly into schema.org.

To learn more about the structured data output from the Yoast SEO plugin, you can refer to this article — https://developer.yoast.com/features/schema/overview/`

    Hi,

Thank you. It was showing for only 70 products, the other products are okay.

We cannot find any other plugins that have used data-vocabulary.org, so we are kinda stumped for ideas.

    Thanks, Tracy

    Hi Tracy,

    Thanks for following up.

You can check if another plugin, theme, or custom code is outputting the data-vocabulary.org schema by performing a conflict check. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

If you do not feel comfortable to do this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.

    Maybellyne,

Thanks, but we have already performed the checks and could not find anywhere the used the data-vocabulary.org, hence why we are stumped.

    Thanks,
    Tracy

    Hi,

You might have to troubleshoot and investigate further as to which theme, plugin, or other custom code or source that could be outputting the ‘data-vocabulary.org’ structured data and remove it, as we do know that the Yoast SEO schema graph utilizes JSON+LD schema.org, so it isn’t coming from our plugin.

Best of luck in resolving this issue!
