Googlebots unable to crawl (high percentage of crawls result in error)

I never had this problem….all of a sudden I see ranges from 40-70% of googlebot crawls resulting in errors. I deactivated W3TC and the errors went down to zero…..Any idea why this could be happening? I have been using W3TC for 2 years and never had a problem with googlebot errors.
