Have uninstalled this plugin and installed Google Analytics Dashboard for WP which is working.
    Thanks, fisnollo!

I just set up Google Analytics Dashboard for WP and it was a cinch to do. Their video was very helpful. It’s now up and running. I did hear back from Yoast’s Google Analytics plugin, and the responder said they will be working on the Premium plug-in in the coming weeks! Gee thanks Yoast!

Same problem. And I’m using the Top Posts Widget which is reliant on this plugin to display most viewed posts in a prominent area of a large site.

Same problem for me. I’m also using the Top Posts Widget which relies on this plugin to display most popular posts in a prominent area of a large wildlife conservation website.

How difficult is it to upgrade this plugin to OAuth 2.0?

Can this only be done by the plugin developer?

    Hopefully this can be resolved?

    Thanks in advance.

@supertrooper2 . The Top Posts Widget got updated to work with the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin by the same developer.

That’s very interesting, @eberger3. I deleted the Top Posts Widget just a few hours ago because the message I got said it had to work with the Yoast Google Analytics Dashboard plugin & I’m now using Google Analytics Dashboard for WP. Thanks for the update.

Thanks Eberger3, Your tip put me on the right track!

I upgraded “Google Analytics Top Posts Widget” to the latest version 1.6.1 and was then prompted to install “Google Analytics by Yoast“.

Then after selecting my Google Analytics Profile and re-authenticating with my Google Account, the plugin works again!

This plugin “Google Analytics Dashboard” is no longer needed and can be de-activated and deleted.

    Problem solved.
