    My blog ( https://jonathan.uriefamily.org ) today is showing the following error at the top of the page:

    WordPress database error: [Got error -1 from table handler]
    SELECT DISTINCT * FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND post_date_gmt <= ‘2005-11-10 18:01:59’ AND (post_status = “publish” OR post_author = 1 AND post_status != ‘draft’ AND post_status != ‘static’) GROUP BY wp_posts.ID ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 5

    No posts are shown on the page. When I log in and go to Manage posts, I see the same error, and no posts are shown in the list.

    Repairing the tables didn’t help.

    I’m running WP 1.5.2, with the Connections 1.0 theme (images modded). No plug ins.

    The site was working normally yesterday, and I have not made any site changes in the mean time (although maybe one of the users tried to make a post. That I’m not sure about).

    Thanks in advance for any/all help you can give me. I’ve never had an error with my WP blogs before, so I don’t even know where to start to try and fix this.

    (I tried to search the forums, but I couldn’t find any posts for error -1; I found a lot for error 28, but this is a different error number.)

    Hmmm… I kept refreshing the page, and then I would get a error -1 and then an error 28. It was switching back and forth. So I contacted my host and told them that I was getting the mySQL error 28 (space) error (thinking if they could resolve the 28 error, then we could focus on the -1 error), and five minutes later the problem had dissappeared.

    Now the site seems to be working fine. I wonder if the -1 error is the same thing as the 28 error, and the host was able to fix it.

    I dunno. But I guess its working now, and I don’t know what fixed it, or I’d tell you.

    If I find out that it was indeed my host that solved the problem, I’ll post back so others may know what worked for me.
