    Hello,

    For an unknown reason my WP doesn’t want to update anymore and got stuck on 4.8.2.

    Every time when I check for a new version is retuning ”You have the latest version of WordPress“ and is asking me to check back again.

    My wp-config.php looks clean on this matter:
    define( ‘AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED’, false );
    define(‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, true);

    Meantime the WP current release version is 4.9.4 … looks like WP missed a lot of updates.

    The website is up and working fine.

    Any idea what is wrong with my WP?

    Many thanks

    This may be a plugin or theme thing. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    So, install HC, click troubleshooting to disable everything, and see if the updates panel shows you any updates.

    Thank you Steve.

    I disabled all plug-ins and immediately it went to update.

    I removed the plug-in troublemaker.

    Everything’s now up and updated.

    Many thanks,
    Oks

    Which plugin was the trouble maker?
