Grammar and Spell module stopping pages and posts

I spent an hour this morning finding out why I could not get a new page or post going.
I finally tracked it down to the spelling and grammar module.
When it is enabled I add a new post but I cannot do anything with it, same with a new page.
When I disable the module, everything works.
Please advise.
