Granularity of user limits/restrictions with multisite
-
I have installed WordPress multisite using subfolders. After reading how multisite works I started brainstorming about a business model for a premium domain I’ve owned for about 16 years. I am a software developer, web server administrator and web developer, so some of this comes natural to me. Though I have some questions about multisite.
Specifically, I would like to know if there is a way of restricting users to creating a single site. I did some testing last night and was surprised when after creating a new user and logging in I was given an opportunity to create additional sites. I only want one per user.
Also, I think I want to synchronize the site name to the username. So for example, if a user registers with a name of ‘veronica’ I want their site name to be https://mydomain.com/veronica. This would mean the user would not be able to change or specify their own sitename.
I have additional questions, but will add a new post for those.
Thank you!
