• Does everything you could need in a table plugin, and it works flawlessly. The premium features seem more geared towards large commercial sites, so if you just need functional tables to display your data, you’re good to go with the free version. With the CSS options in the plugin settings, you can style and colour the tables however you wish.

I also recommend the free extension to this plugin from the same author, “DataTables Sorting plugins”, which is found on the TablePress website. This plugin extension allows you to have dynamically-sortable tables, with buttons your visitors can click to sort by a particular column. It can let you add sorting to all columns, or only the specific column(s) you wish to be sortable.

This is one of those plugins that works so well and provides such polished and perfectly-coded functions that it really ought to be a standard part of WordPress.

Many thanks to Tobias B?thge for not pay-walling the core functions of the plugin. I don’t know what I’d do with it. His generosity is truly appreciated for those of us who either can’t afford the premium plan, or simply don’t need the more advanced functionality it offers.
