Gravatar if I change my forum email address

    I want to know, if I change my forum email address, will it be sent to the gravatar company. I don’t want them to have any information about me, though they already have the email address currently associated with this forum account, and are refusing to delete it from their records.

    using Gravatar is anonymous.
    If you use some site that HAS your email,
    it makes a HASH value of your address, and inserts it into HTML source code of the page.
    If Gravatar has an image associated with that HASH they will output an image,
    else – they will output default image (empty, or generated thingy, such as monsterID)

    Gravatar does not know what email address is requested in HASH, if they dont have that email in their database registered, and they also dont know who did requested specific avatar for HASH.

    The “gravatar company” is Automattic. The same people that run wordpress com.

    And you can delete your email by logging into it and simply selecting delete email.

    So gravatar and wordpress.com are the same company? Is there not a forum that is run by WP.org instead of WP.com then?
