Gravatar not working

  • I’m pretty well versed in Gravatars. I manage a site with 40+ users and all of them have their gravatars up and running.

    Except one guy.

    His email is definitely associated with his account (and he even added a second email address for troubleshooting) and I’ve seen his screen and its PG rated gravatar. But the gravatar isn’t showing up.

    My thought: we migrated his WordPress account from another site, which may have messed up the gravatar (but why?)

    Any ideas on other steps I can take to get this working?

    @mark – thanks but that’s not open for support anymore: “Hi there! Gravatar support is closed at the moment.”

    I didn’t see that. But it also says “In the meantime, ask the community for help in the WordPress.com forums” which are not these. You need to go to the WordPress.com Forums.

    Thanks – that’s fair ?? I’m used to my self-hosted solution so I forget that this is a cloud-based tool…

    Could someone please help me with my Gravatar. I have checked everything and cannot get it to work on my wordpress site ?? ??
    I use the same email address, I have made sure Avatars are enabled under the discussion settings on my dashboard and I have added my website to my gravatar profile. And on my Gravatar profile my picture is selected fine but it still doesn’t work on my wordpress website. I even posted a dummy comment on my blog just to check and it still shows the default gravatar.

    Same for me. My gravatar works on wordpress.com and it will hopefully work here but it doesn’t show on my self-hosted WordPress site. All settings seem to be correct. What’s going on? Does anyone have any idea?

    +Mark Ratledge: wordpress.com sends users here because the problem is about a self-hosted WordPress site and not a blog on wordpress.com. Hmmmm…
