Gravatar photo won't show up on my www.ads-software.com blog. What gives?

    Hi guys,

    I’m running this LeTour custom theme on my WP.org blog. But I’m unable to get my avatar photo working. All it shows it the default ‘Unknown’ style image.

    I’ve tried the following fixes:

    – Setting up an account with Gravatar, then linked my website to my account. My Gravatar seems to be working when I go to their website, but it doesn’t look like my WordPress site is pulling the data from Gravatar.

    – Going to Settings > Discussion Settings > Check the ‘Show Avatar’ Box

    I’ve Googled around for solutions, and these seem to be the common fixes. But it hasn’t worked, for me. Still no avatar. Any suggestions?

  • Is the email you have in Settings > General the one you have in your Gravatar account?
    Is the email you have in Users > Your Profile the one you have in your Gravatar account?

    (I know these seem like obvious questions, but I’ve actually made those exact mistakes myself.)

    Cyndy- you’re incredible! That was the problem. I had the wrong emails indicated in those sections. Made the change, and now all is well. Problem solved. ??

    How do I change my e-mail address in Users>Your Profile? Every time I change it to the address that is on Gravatar and in my General Settings I get an Error message saying: “This email is already registered, please choose another one.”

    I can’t change my email address in Gravatar so I am getting stuck.

    Anyone know of a fix for this?

    David, The email in your profile should be the same as your Gravatar account email.
    The email in your sites settings can be different.
    You can always create a new Gravatar account if you have to.
