• I have included the code in my comments.php file to display avatars, however I know many people whose “avatar” is their WP profile pic in certain themes. In these instances I am seeing the default gravatar image. Is there a way to pull the WP profile pic if a gravatar is not identified?

  • The WP Profile pic *is* a gravatar, straight from Gravatar.com (which is an Automattic project; as in Matt Mullenweg).

What code are you using in your template? As far as I know, if you have the correct code there (and I were to comment on your blog using the email associated with my gravatar here on this forum) you should see the gravatar that I use here.

Thanks Joni, it looks like it’s working then, since I saw your pic. A couple questions then – in my WordPress.com account I have the option to upload an avatar image on my settings page, but this does not exist in my www.ads-software.com account. Do I need a plugin or something?

Also, if you check the comments of previous imported entries, no gravatar images are displayed, but these same users do have avatars that show up on other blogs where they comment.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for your help!
