    I have been having issues with Gravity Forms, and after extensive testing have narrowed it down to a plugin conflict with User Role Editor.

    When User Role Editor is activated, the Import/Export, Updates and Add-Ons options in the dashboard for Gravity Forms disappear.

    Also, when URE is activated, users are not able to move beyond the first page of a multi-page form.

    I have temporarily solved this conflict by turning off URE.

    Let me know what info would be helpful in solving this conflict going forward. I really like URE, and would like to re-activate it!

    What version of Gravity Forms do you use? I have GF v. 1.8.3 for testing and do not see described problem with menu access. I tested with administrator.
    What role or permissions does your user have? I will try to reproduce.
    Is it single site WordPress installation or multi-site?

    Did you tried to leave active two plugins only (GF and URE) under standard theme activated, like 2014?

    I’m running GF v 1.8.19 — updated to that at the suggestion of the GF support guys last week as we were trying to solve the issue of the disappearing options.

    I’m an admin on this site.

    I have a lot of customized widgets, so I really can’t afford to switch themes right now to reset them.

    But, I am using URE to give editor level users lots of access to GF. Here is a screen shot of those settings: https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/918/7688750025.png

    I deactivated all these capabilities for editor level users, but the issue persists.

    I also tested out these capability settings on another similar site, using the same theme framework (ithemes Builder), where I’m not experiencing this issue, but could not reproduce the disappearing options.

    It does sound like some sort of conflict, but I have yet to figure it out. Any insights or suggestions you might have would be appreciated.

    Do we talk about free version of User Role editor?
    Or you have Pro version with “per form user access management for Gravity Forms” module active?

    Do Import/Export, Updates and Add-Ons menu items disappear for user with administrator role?

    Yes, the free version of URE.

    Yes, those items disappear with the administrator role.

    When URE is not active GF gives to administrator full access automatically via special single user capability. When URE is active GF checks a set of user capabilities according to requested functionality. Please check if all GF user capabilities are turned on at your Administrator role, especially:
    – gravityforms_export_entries;
    – gravityforms_view_updates;
    – gravityforms_view_addons.

    Aha! That was it!

    I never even thought about Admin-level users not having access to all capabilities.

    I did check that very similar site, and my admin account there has all these capabilities unchecked, but it’s not causing this issue there. Puzzling.

    Thanks for you help! This is a great plugin!
