    Hi,

In multiple sites, when trying to send in a form (Gravity forms) while the WP armour plugin is enabled, we get the error saying:

“Spamming, or your JavaScript is disabled”

As soon as I disable the plugin, the error is gone and forms can be successfully sent again. The version of your plugin in these sites is 2.1.10.

Can you please fix this, I have it enabled in all 120+ client sites and your plugin is really excellent for blocking spam so far.

    Thanks for your help,
    Annie

    Hi,

I think I have some useful news.
Was performing more tests and when I revert to version 2.1.8 the issue is gone. Looks like the latest version 2.1.10. has some bug?

    Hi,

Do you have Extended version as well ? If you are using extended version, please update to 1.25. As 2.1.10 needs 1.25 extended version if you are using them together.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Thanks for responding!
No, I do not use the extended version, only the free version, and it is doing an amazing job so far, much better than other plugins.

    Hi,

I have been testing all my 120+ sites and found out there was a link to the sites that use WP Rocket! When I deactivated WP rocket, the submission was a success, even when your plugin was on version 2.1.10.

So I looked to settings in WP rocket that delay Javascript, as the error mentions that, and when I uncheck the settings in WP Rocket to delay JS execution, the error was gone too, even on 2.1.10.

That narrows it down a lot, right?

Thing is, JS could be delayed in WP Rocket up until version 2.1.8, so I hope there is some fix that can work well with the JS delay AND your plugin?

    Thanks!

Having exactly the same issues using caldera forms. No spam up until a few days ago. Then loads. Now none after the last update but nothing else can get through either. Exactly the same message “Spamming, or your JavaScript is disabled”.

Disabled WP Armour to see if that worked and it did.

    Hi @discoverykhaoalak,

Do you have a caching plugin that has settings to delay JavaScript?
If so and you uncheck that setting, it will work again, see my remarks above please.

PS. Caldera forms are no longer supported by the developer since April the 5th, 2022. (Google for “caldera forms, unsupported” to find the article). I used that one for years, but replaced it with another form, because non-supported items will give you problems, sooner or later…

    Hi Annie,

If our plugin was working fine before with WP Rocket then it shouldn’t have make difference with 2.1.10. So i highly doubt that it was caused due to WP Rocket serving old cache files which had our old css and js.

    Thanks

    Hi @dnesscarkey,

I never mentioned thinking that it was caused by WP rocket serving old cache files? ??

I only am sharing my testing results in 120 sites, hoping it can help you find the culprit.

The sites that do not have an issue with version 2.1.10 have this in common:

    1. They do not have WP Rocket installed
    2. They have WP rocket installed, but the delay JS execution is not checked.

The error issue is gone when I :

    1. uncheck the “delay JS” settings in WP Rocket
    2. deactivate WP Rocket all together
    3. deactivate your plugin and leave WP rocket on with JS delay still checked

    Thanks!

Same issue with Ninja forms. I’ve had to deactivate all my sites and revert back to Captcha. Pro seems busted, free version seems ok.

Was getting a lot of complaints about spam getting through before update but latest version no worky.

Will come back and check on updates, but I’ve got a bunch of unhappy clients so next version is going to take some time to test and rebuild confidence.

    Hi,

Sorry for the hassle you are going through. We have tested our plugin with Ninja Form ver 3.7.0?and couldn’t find the form submission issue.

In most of the cases form submission being blocked reported after our latest release is due to the cached old files being served.

We added an extra field to counter the bypass some spambots did in our last version and those fields are inserted using javascript. However, due to some cached mechanisim serving the old js files of our plugin, it is not adding the new field to the form where as our form submission check code which is in PHP, searches for those fields.

Also, we have found that there were many instances of using multiple caching system, usually one they like and 1 from the hosting provider. This has also created complication in clearing the cache and our plugin not working as expected.

Having said that we are checking and taking seriously each support request. So if you can disable cache plugins and test it in incognito mode to confirm it is not cached issue, if that’s not the case and we can further investigate it.

    Thanking You.
