• Last night, while testing the new site we’re developing, we noticed that toggling the Grayscale feature to “On” in Firefox (tested in Firefox 36.0.4 on Mac initially, then tested in Firefox 39.0 on Mac) turns the whole screen white so that nothing can be seen.

Everything is still present on the page, you just can’t see any of it because it’s an entirely white screen with white text.

In testing last night, it also did the same thing in Firefox (the version number was not checked at the time) on the PC (Windows 10), but it seems to be working today in version 39.0 on Windows 10.

When I inspect the body element in Firefox on the Mac, it indicates that it was unable to load the inline SVG image defined in the stylesheet. Do you have any idea what might be going on and how best to fix it? Thanks.

I think I’d need to see the site in question to follow this. But I generally recommend leaving the Grayscale feature disabled; it’s only really useful when testing as a developer, it doesn’t have a lot of value to end-users.
