Great Backup Plugin

I’ve been using UpdraftPlus on 2 sites for maybe 5 years, backing up to an AWS Bucket using the notes on how to do so securely. I recently had to move web hosts. I basically just installed UpdraftPlus on the new host, restored the backup, and tweaked a few settings. To make it live, I then changed the DNS settings (pro tip: don’t let your web host control your DNS – that’s how they lock you in). The whole thing took a few hours and was very straightforward. I think I tried BackupBuddy, but UpdraftPlus can be set up to not see your data, which is a big plus.
