Great concept, but no flexibility

I was really looking forward to using this theme with myself and clients, but not being able to put in pics (vs) icons is silly. While I am a programmer, doing so would disrupt the integrity of the theme and future theme upgrades. Why waste so much time on such an inflexible theme? I’d rather see them raise the price and make give us more options. After learning that I could not even do some things with the paid version, I opted out. I do love how you can change the front page though (Full screen, etc.). Again, why go this far and stop the creative process? I would love to only use one company for all of my themes. Hope they open this one up more because it is way too restrictive as is, even the new version.
