Great, except for mobile

I’ve slogged through a lot of horrible gallery plugins available here on the repository, and I was happy to come across yours because it really seems like a great plugin. Lot’s of customization available and an easy to use admin section for setting up galleries. But then I tested it for mobile, and there are 2 glaring issues.

First, the lightbox/popup experience is pretty horrendous. You can’t do any kind of zooming without the image sliding out of sight, and you are unable to scroll back over to see it. There are around 6 or seven different options to choose from for this functionality and each have their quirks, but none of them are acceptable as far as passing off to a client. WP Canvas (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wc-gallery/) is a very simple plugin that does not offer much of what your plugin does, but what they really get right is the lightbox experience for mobile. You can zoom in and out, the images load quickly, and there’s no white/black border around the image wasting precious real estate on limited mobile screens. That plugin uses Magnific Popup (https://dimsemenov.com/plugins/magnific-popup/documentation.html) I believe. If you could implement that with this plugin, I’d love to change my rating to 5 stars.

The other mobile issue I was speaking of is in relation to the captions and how they show over the thumbs on first click, then on second click the lightbox/popup images are displayed. I just think this is poor usability. I don’t know anyone who would want to have to touch the thumbs twice every time just to have the larger images pop up.

Not trying to be totally negative, just trying to give some constructive criticism because I think you really have a solid foundation for what could be the best gallery plugin available on the WP repository.
