Great features, but VERY slow

  • Installed on my site. THe plugin looks great, and has amazing lots of features. Works very well, also with WOOCS Currency swither and other plugins. BUT, it slowed our site so much that we can not use it. With minimal config, just one rule, it slowed Cart load from 2(to 3) seconds to 26! No idea how this is possible, but it’s unusable for us! This is with just a single product in the cart, and a single “BUlk” rule defined.

    Even though this plugin is unusable for us, and review should be less than 4 stars. Can see developers put lots into developing it. And most features are free. Hope the performance issues get solved at some stage.

    It seems your websitе calls external API to do shipping calculations.
    Please, visit >WooCommerce>Pricing Rules>Settings>Calculation, mark “Disable shipping calculation” and check speed.

    Hi, thanks for quick reply. I just tried it. I disabled shipping calculations. The cart load time with your plugin disabled is now 1 to 2 seconds, and with your plugin enabled 13 to 15 seconds. Unfortunately still too slow to be usable. This delay also happens each time you click on a different shipping method in the cart. The whole experience is super slow.

    You can try it on your stating site. Add 11 of our SBC65EC products to the cart. And go to cart. Super slow. Link to staging site shorturl.at/eQY19

    No, it slowed our site down extremely lots. Using a different discount plugin that does not have any noticeable delay.

    Dealt with this earlier. I was getting load times of up to 30s for admin pages, less than 1s with WOOCS/FOX disabled.

    The issue was the use of “PHP Session” for Currency Storage in the Options menu (WooCommerce -> Settings -> Currency -> Options).

    Switching it to Redis worked on my hosting and sped up the site considerably. If you don’t have Redis or Memcached, try Transient Storage.
