Great for donation forms

  • I’m designing a website for a non-profit organization where a donation form is required and after testing a few plugins kept this one mainly for being able to test it with the sandbox mode. The only downside is that it has to be online for delivering the emails, no way to make it work in a localhost environment, the form appears but no email is delivered. Please make it work in a localhost environment, that’s a must for testing and for showing it to the end customer for approval.

    Hi,

    The emails are delivered when the PayPal IPN notification is received. PayPal can send IPN notification only to online URLs, that’s why “localhost” URLs cannot receive that notification.

    The alternative is to send the email before receiving the PayPal IPN but in that case the email will be sent always, even if the transaction isn’t completed at PayPal.
