Superb for long-form support content

  • I work with long-form content like text books and technical support documentation and this plugin solves countless problems.

    For years I’ve struggled with custom content types adding plugins for Tables of Content, print-friendly, a matrix of categories and a dozen other plugins.

    I created my first Betterdocs website to move a text book from print to online, and BetterDocs has performed beyond expectations. Even the free template is very elegant, but the Pro version is already worth it for me. It has reduced weeks of work, and it’s giving clients a knowledgebase that is easy to update.

    I have now used it on a second tech support website, and the client is receiving support and sales requests through the “Instant Answers” cross domain popup, which was placed on a NON-Wordpress website, but offer extra functionality and redirects people looking for support rather than sales to the BetterDocs subdomain.

    It works best in situations where it’s an entire subdomain, rather than a site with a lot of other content. It didn’t play very well with my page-builder Colibri, and I had to override CSS in places. It was worth the effort.

    Watch out – some Gutenberg blocks don’t work well embedded inside the AI popup, although they are fine on full pages, even on mobile.
