Great idea, but doesn't work (anymore)

  • I tested this plugin briefly a few months ago, and it did work as expected. However, when I tried it again more recently, from a couple of different sites, it had stopped working… instead of a product price it returns an error message and $0.00

    Hopefully the author will fix it and I can revise my rating to something higher.

    When it will work why are you not give any rating.
    I will check it on wordpress 4.4.1 and may be lot’s of short code you used in same page that’s why API call limit of amazon increased then it will not not sent data.

    Hi Alok,

    I’ve continued testing your plugin for the past few weeks, and it simply does not work anymore. That’s all there is to it.

    It says “Could Not Connect to Amazon Price 0.00”

    I have tried with new amazon key information, and with different IAM policies, but have not found any combination that works.

    What IAM policies do I need to attach to my IAM user? Is it still working for you? Let me know, and I’ll be happy to keep testing on my end. I emailed you through your website a few weeks ago, but did not get a response.

    Hi Alok,

    Have you tested this with WordPress 4.4 and the new changes to the Amazon API yet? I’d really like to use your plugin, if you get it working.

    Or better yet, if it’s already working, I’d like to figure out what’s wrong with my system and/or amazon api permissions.

    I’ve tried this German language plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/easy-amazon-product-information/ , and my access information works just fine. The only problem is that it uses the Amazon.de API, and I can’t get it properly localized (and it’s really not as simple as I’d like, anyway). But it might give you a good example of what’s working.
