• We got this plug in because we needed to have the override shipping portion of the coupons, which we only found it here. It works as intended, except that it does not have a way to override shipping just on the products the coupon applies for. This is a complicated issue due to WooCommerce functionality, but it could be addressed by passing the shipping overrides to just the items it applies to by splitting the cart contents.

For now, it works with some twitching we made it work to have a limit on the shipping override discount, not perfect but better than nothing.

The other thing we were confused about, which we thought it did, was to do product selection for the items that coupon applies to. They do have rules but the rules (which are great) only apply if the product selection is done at the coupon level.

We have about 2000 products that have coupons, so loading them into the coupons and maintaining them it’s a nightmare, it will be great if the product selection can be done the same way rules are done by dynamic selection.

Hey @deisouss, thanks for the great review!

Yes, the shipping overrides is quite a complex one. Not easily solved under the current way Woo handles shipping on the cart. We have this request logged though and will keep exploring a better way to approach it.

Also appreciate the requests for the rules as well. I’d suggest using the categories rule for easing the selection then maybe adding a negative rule for the products not included from that category. It might work out easier in some cases. Though, this still will not restrict the coupon to that product.

We have recorded the product restriction as something we’d like to improve already so I’m going to +1 that with your thread here as well.

Really appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback and thoughtful improvement ideas!

Hello I found a bug in your plugin, when you use the Shipping Overrides

The amount is passed to WooCommerce as a “Fee” with a negative value, when a fee has a negative value sales tax is not calculated, therefore the total of the order is wrong. WooCommerce told us that any discounts must be passed as discounts not as negative fees.

    Hi @deisouss,

Could you please ensure that you have the latest version of our plugin?

I tried it on my end and the shipping discount got the tax as well. https://snipboard.io/oSyl6E.jpg
