• Super if it would work together with WP plugin-memorandum [ link redacted, please do not post links in reviews ] and list the memos, all in one place! Including an option to export a CSV file for a spreadsheet.

They sound like great ideas. I’ll look at that plugin to see if I can hook in and extract the memo information.

Plugins are such a crucial part in WordPress, yet handling them isn’t always easy.

    Allow me to dream:
    – I export an Artiss Plugins LIST FILE from one of my projects
    – I start a new WP site
    – fire up your Artiss List Plugin
    – import my (edited) list from my other project
    – your plugin downloads the pugins
    – and activates them
    – quite a timesaver,

    And I keep on dreaming:
    – there is an easy way to edit the exported plugin settings in my text editor
    – actually a whole WP website could be defined in one small text file; making it easy to exchange configuration files and quickly create test sites … okay, I have to wake up now ??

Maybe one day, when my now two year old daughter installs her first WordPress site…

You know, I’ve been thinking the same thing. WP backup programs exist to backup the database and file structure – this will, in effect, back up the plugin options – but nothing backs up the plugin list itself.

So, first phase – I’ll update this plugin to regularly create an exportable CSV list of plugins.

Next phase – a companion plugin that will take this list, display on screen and allow you to choose which plugins you wish to install, which it will then do. Not looked at the feasibility of this but it sounds viable. No timescales though.
