Are you referring the normal sidebar in the media manager popup?

Yes, it’s labeled as “ATTACHMENT DETAILS” when creating a regular gallery. Where it allows you to edit things like the caption, title, etc. Thanks!

Right now I use CSS to hide the sidebar. I could theoretically add a filter to let you change whether you want it to be displayed or not. Would that work for you?

That would totally work, but if it’s a bother I can also just use my CSS to show it. I just didn’t realize that you had just hidden it!

I’ve separated out the specific styles that control that, and I’m going to push out an update either tonight or tomorrow. If I can figure out an easy way to add a filter I’ll do that, or I might just place the specific CSS in a comment block to make it easy to find and remove.

Alrighty, I’ve added the requested functionality. There is now an easy filter that you can add to your theme’s functions.php file.
