It took me too long to find this plugin. Maybe you can alter or add different words because I never found it with the wp search page. Haha. Also one bug fix, if possible make it easy to select and copy the shortcodes. Currently the way wp core lays out the whole widget page it makes selecting text not possible in certain zones; specifically where the shortcode is displayed for your plugin. Perhaps you can add a settings page under settings that displays the shortcodes in a list so its easy to select and copy the shortcodes and also delete or edit the name of the shortcodes from there too.

    1) if you want to find a plugin that you use frequently, add them to your favourites, then you just enter you wp id and those plugins are listed. you can also try using ‘amr’. Given the generic nature of ‘shortcode’ and ‘widget’ I doubt there is much else I can do other than giving it my prefix.

    2) Buggy? I assume you mean annoying not ‘bug’ ? There are no bugs that I’m aware of.

The shortcodes to use are available inside each widget settings in the special sidebar. If you open it up there is a section where it explicitly tells you:
“To use as shortcode with id: [do_widget id=meta-3]”
In wp 5.8 widget block editor if you click into the widget this info is also displayed.

    3) I’m not sure what you mean by the name of the shortcodes? Possibly you mean the wordpress widget title field? which is maintained in the same place. I prefer not to have multiple settings places- it makes more sense to me to keep it all in one place.

No I don’t think its annoying. I agree with you not having multiple places for the settings. But being able to select and copy text is standard function, no? Not something new or fancy or genius.

Hey, I found a second bug tonight. To duplicate the bug follow these instructions. Create any shortcode. Add the shortcode in any page, not a post. From the view of the page. Now go into customize > widgets ; as you see you can click into the added widget and back out. Now click on the menus of the previewed site and click to any post page. Now go into customize > widgets ; you now see the custom widget is listed on the list and when you click nothing happens. It should not be listed there on the post page because the shortcode was only added to the one page, but not a post page.

Please ignore all my words from yesterday. Both notes were in reference to a completely different plugin. I was testing many things at once and confused your plugin features with another plugin! Good chat, though. I do not see any bugs in your plugin. ??
