Great plugin but not compatible with Visual Composer

    I like the plugin but was having difficulty as it would not play well with Visual Composer. Downloading is great. But you cannot set up any upload option when VC is active. You get the browser, upload button, but nothing happens. Works correctly with VC deactivated. Shortcode Generator does not display either, so code has to be manually entered, unless you disable VC first. Then it all works to set up, just can’t upload…yet.

    Multiple forum posts have been dedicated to Visual Composer’s bad javascript, which interferes with any plugin that adds shortcode buttons to the TinyMCE toolbar in the traditional way. This is not something I can fix. I’ve asked VC to fix their code, as have several of my users.

    I am a busy person, developing for two software companies in order to provide for a family of seven. And this is a free plugin. I do what I can when I’m able. Sometimes I have a busy week/month, and I don’t always see everything that comes up on the forum.

    Usually I refrain from making personal judgments about the character of people I’ve only interacted with on plugin forums. But that’s your prerogative, of course.

    Apologies and review updated to reflect you support response. I manage many sites and often try to use items that I like/work well across the board. This is one plugin that truly is AWESOME and I wish VC would not create havoc with it. I use it for DL and work around it as it is the best one out there. Thus, I will support YOU!
