    Many thanks for a free plugin that just worked easily with minimum set-up. It was helpful that I could do a native install of WP at my new server via Installatron. Having CPanel access and Installatron installation means many facets of auto updating the WP installation can be selected.

    It took approx 30 mins for my slow internet connection to upload the transfer file but once completed it was all of a few minutes and bingo…new website up and running! NOTE: all the URL’s are auto updated with exception of any special email addresses you may have had associated with your user name, they can be auto changed to the wrong details. EG: my email is [email protected] set in the test environment & I want it to remain as such. When the change to the new URL hosting is completed the email address was changed to; cc@newdomain. A simple check in settings and user fields can fix this.

    I’d tried WP-Clone and it totally failed.

    Duplicator is another that does work BUT you must have no install of WP at your new server.Hence you can’t take advantage of the auto updates from Installatron.
