Great Plugin with Features Others Make You Pay For

  • I recently discovered this plugin on a Reddit thread and decided to take a look at it. I’ve been using that other SMTP plugin (you know the one with 3+ million installs) for years and never even thought to look and see what else is out there. I poked around and turns out, FluentSMTP not only works well, but it also has a lot of features that you don’t get for free elsewhere such as:

    1. Multiple email service connections for failover.
    2. An email log that lets you view the entirety of emails sent.
    3. Ability to resend an email directly from the log screen.
    4. Realtime alerts of email failures via Slack, Discord, or Telegram.

    I’m now in the process of switching all of my sites to this plugin for email sending. It’s excellent.
